Ipesasilo

IpesaSilo is a leading global brand of silo bags (also known as silobolsas) used for the hermetic storage of grains and forage. Manufactured by the Argentine company Ipesa - Río Chico S.A., it is widely considered the pioneer and world leader in this storage technology.

The company recently introduced SiloSmart, described as the "first intelligent silo bag". Developed with the agtech firm Wiagro, these bags include factory-installed nanosensors that monitor temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels in real-time, alerting producers to potential spoilage via their smartphones.

we reduce landfill pressure, avoid greenhouse gas emissions, and decrease energy consumption—not as abstract claims, but as outcomes embedded within each product delivered.

05 · Outcome

We rescued and upcycled more than 11,674 m² of silobags that would otherwise have ended up in landfill. Those materials were transformed into backpacks, tote bags, lunchboxes, eco bags, pouches, and much more. What makes silobag products special is not only their durability, but their ability to become a surface for creativity. Kids can draw on them. Artists can intervene them. Brands can personalise them. Then redesign them again and again. An endless canvas with a previous life.
